Great to meet you!

I am passionate about helping individuals experience greater happiness, healing, and fulfillment in every area of life. My clinical focus includes depression, anxiety, trauma, anger management, and parenting and family concerns. I hold a Master’s in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University and a Doctorate in Higher Education and Adult Learning from Walden University. As a Christian minister and Adult Sunday School Teacher, I value compassion, encouragement, service, and helping clients recognize their strengths and capacity for growth.

My approach to therapy

I believe effective therapy begins with a genuine therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and understanding. I take time to learn who you are, what you have experienced, and what matters most to you. Using CBT, TF-CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and DBT, I provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to explore concerns, develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen relationships, and pursue meaningful goals. I will support, challenge, and empower you, while honoring that your healing journey belongs to you.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you can expect a warm smile, an open heart, and attentive listening. I want you to feel heard, understood, respected, and valued as we discuss the experiences, emotions, obstacles, and circumstances affecting your life. Together, we will begin building a safe therapeutic relationship and identify what you hope to change. I will offer encouragement, perspective, and guidance while helping you recognize your strengths and take meaningful steps toward a healthier, happier, and more fulfilling future.
