Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Jackie, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in trauma and anxiety. I work with adults who feel stuck in survival mode—struggling with chronic anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and constant overwhelm.

I specialize in childhood trauma, relationship trauma, and first-generation stress, and I bring my Latina background into my work with clients who are navigating cultural expectations, family pressure, and the emotional weight of being “the strong one.”

Using EMDR and nervous-system-based, trauma-informed approaches, I help you move beyond just understanding your experiences to actually calming your nervous system—so you can feel more grounded, present, and safe in your body, not just more self-aware.

I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and the Unified Protocol (UP).

My approach to therapy

My work is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in evidence-based therapies.

I integrate...

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to heal childhood trauma and anxiety at the root
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to tackle perfectionism and people-pleasing, while helping you clarify your personal values—what truly matters to you, not what’s expected of you
  • Somatic, relational, and emotion-focused approaches to help calm your nervous system and build internal safety so you can build healthier relationships with yourself and those around you

What you can expect from me

Each therapy session is tailored to your needs whether that means focused EMDR work, nervous system regulation, or space to process and understand your emotions from mind to body.

I work with clients to understand how their past—relationships, upbringing, and trauma—shows up in the present. In therapy, we focus on building coping tools, self-awareness, and resilience so you feel more equipped to handle life’s challenges.
