Great to meet you!

In my practice, I’ve witnessed people of all ages find the ability to transcend the tragedy they found themselves in—no matter how impossible healing from their trauma, anxiety, depression, or addiction might've seemed. Through collaboration, I intend to help build reasonable goals and find the best steps for you to achieve them.

I have worked as a therapist for kids of all ages in psych hospitals, in the foster care system, and in the juvenile system. I have also worked as a group substance abuse counselor with adults of all ages.

My approach to therapy

I primarily practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my practice to help identify how our negative thinking patterns contribute to our negative behaviors or safety strategies which perpetuate our depression and anxiety.

I also incorporate adjacent theories that build off of and complement CBT such as narrative therapy, where we learn about how the stories we tell ourselves can impact our lives, as well as motivational interviewing, sand tray therapy, play therapy, and a few others.

I also use mindfulness, to help foster a system of peace and replace some of our less positive coping skills.

What you can expect from me

Sometimes things get harder before they get easier. Especially when we hide unwanted issues in the fog. Digging up some of those root issues takes time, practice, and patience.

Though, in the beginning, we will go slow, work on building trust, and finding a system of healing and growth that works best for you.

You're the expert of your own story. I'm here to listen, notice patterns, and help to identify some strategies that will work for you.
