Great to meet you!

Jaclyn Edwards is a licensed professional counselor with over 15 years of experience working with women and couples. By providing a nonjudgmental environment, she strives to help clients find forgiveness and grace from their past; solutions and peace in their present; and hope for their future. She utilizes an integrative approach to therapy to meet the unique needs of clients.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy begins with feeling genuinely seen, heard and accepted. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, recognizing that you are the expert on your own experiences and that meaningful change happens within a relationship built on trust and compassion. I draw from CBT, narrative therapy, and faith based approaches to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and personal stories while identifying patterns that may be holding them back. I believe that healing often begins with understanding ourselves with greater compassion, challenging the patterns that keeps us stuck and recognizing that our past does not have to define our future. My goal is to walk alongside clients as they develop greater self-awareness, build confidence in who they are, and move toward a life that feels more authentic, whole and meaningful.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we'll review some initial paperwork, but most importantly, we'll spend time getting to know one another and beginning to build a comfortable, trusting relationship. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you hope to gain from the experience, and begin identifying some potential goals to work toward together.
