Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Jacob Avila, LPC. I have four years of therapeutic clinical experience with individuals of ages across the lifespan. I primarily support youth in engaging in therapy treatment to promote positive emotional and behavioral development through early life stages and adulthood.

My approach to therapy

I promote and encourage a warm, open-minded, and therapeutic environment in which a holistic and trauma-informed approach is utilized to promote processes of the past, present, and future, in alignment with client's treatment goals. I encourage collaborative discussion while utilizing creativity as a building-block of treatment and rapport development. I also promote utilizing strength-based mindsets and approaches to encourage positive thought processing, as well as emotional growth and understanding.

What you can expect from me

I promote and provide a safe, warm, and open-minded environment where client's can feel safe, understood, and not pressured to discuss their thoughts, emotions, and concerns immediately. I feel that therapy treatment successfully begins with the development of a positive, creative, and strength-based professional relationship.
