Great to meet you!
Go beyond symptom management into growth. Jacob Horton, MD, MBA combines Harvard and Yale psychiatric training, Buddhist-based mindfulness practices, psychodynamic therapy and therapeutic use of exercise to help clients faced with depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma and ADHD. In the beginning of treatment clients can expect an improvement in symptoms, such as reduced anxiety or substance use, within a few weeks. As treatment progresses, our focus shifts gradually from surface-level symptoms to exploring the deeper, underlying cause of said symptoms and facilitating further growth beyond.
Dr. Horton is board-certified in general psychiatry after completing 4-year residency at Harvard Medical School and Boston VA. He received additional specialized psychodynamic therapy training by completing a fellowship at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society & Institute. He is currently completing an addiction psychiatry fellowship at Yale School of Medicine.
