Jacob McCurry

Hello! I’m Jacob McCurry. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) here in Pennsylvania. I earned my Masters of Counselor Education from McDaniel College in 2013. Between 2014-2022 I worked as a case manager for individuals with Intellectual Disability. Then in 2022, I was hired as a mobile therapist with TrueNorth Wellness Services. Our program supported individuals who were suffering with severe and persistent mental illness in their own homes. Currently, I am a group therapist in the Partial Hospitalization Program with TrueNorth. I am the owner of Achieving Heights Counseling, LLC. I am proud to provide virtual counseling. My company is Achieving Heights as I have come far in my life, professionally and personally and I wish to support you in reaching your heights as well.

My approach to therapy is warm and affirming. I will support you in identifying and then enhancing your strengths so that you can face your challenges. This is made possible through various approaches including CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Motivational Interviewing, and exposure therapy.

The first session will focus on rapport building. I look forward to meeting you, getting to hear your story, and help you write a new chapter in your life.
