Great to meet you!

I work with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating anxiety, relationship patterns, depression, identity questions, and the kind of spiritual and existential weight that mainstream therapy often misses. My clinical background includes intensive training at Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital — one of San Diego's leading psychiatric facilities — which means I've worked with a wide range of presentations and know how to handle complexity. I bring genuine curiosity, directness, and yes, humor into sessions — because healing doesn't have to feel like homework.

My approach to therapy

My approach is primarily psychodynamic, which means we go beneath the surface — not just what's happening, but why it keeps happening and what it's connected to in your history and inner world. I also integrate faith and spirituality when that's meaningful to a client, because I believe whole-person healing has to honor the whole person. I'm collaborative, warm, and direct — I'll share my perspective and ask hard questions, and I'll always be honest with you.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about getting to know each other. I'll ask about what's been going on, what you've tried before, and what you're hoping will be different. I want to understand your story, not just your symptoms. By the end of the hour, you'll have a real sense of whether we're a good fit — and I'll be honest with you if I think someone else might serve you better. Most clients leave that first session feeling heard in a way that surprises them.
