Great to meet you!

My Ph.D. is from Biola University, and I completed my clinical internship and post-doctoral training at Aurora San Diego, a psychiatric facility where I worked with civilian and active-duty military adults. That training grounded me in CBT, ACT, DBT, and trauma-focused therapy, including CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy ) for trauma, with extensive experience treating anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation.

Outside of work, I'm usually training for my next Spartan race, swing dancing, deep in a Lego build, or out exploring a trail. I'm also an avid reader and always on the hunt for a good new coffee shop.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based practice. I draw on CBT, ACT, DBT, and trauma-focused modalities like CPT depending on what will serve you best, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method. My background working with both civilian and military populations has given me a deep appreciation for how differently anxiety, depression, and trauma can show up in people's lives — and how important it is to meet each client where they are. I see therapy as a partnership. My job is to bring clinical expertise and structure, and your job is to bring your goals and honesty; together we figure out what's actually going to help.

My approach is holistic — I believe we're made up of mind, body, and soul, and that our current struggles often reflect interactions among all three. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, I work with the whole person to help you find lasting freedom from what brought you to therapy in the first place.

For clients who share a Christian faith, I also offer the option to integrate that faith into our evidence-based work together — drawing on your beliefs and values as a source of strength and meaning in the treatment process.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really about getting to know each other. I want to understand your story, what's brought you to therapy now, and what you're hoping will be different on the other side of our work together. There's no pressure to have it all figured out — my goal in this session is to start building a clear picture of your goals and how we can best work together to reach them.

If you are unsure if we would be a good fit, feel free to schedule a brief 15-minute consultation call!
