Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Dr. Timberlake, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas, Missouri, Florida and the founder of A Different World Counseling Services. I am passionate about helping individuals overcome life's challenges, heal from painful experiences, and rediscover their sense of self-worth, confidence, and emotional well-being. ‍

Since beginning my counseling career in 2018, I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds, including individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and involvement with the judicial system. My experience in private practice and as a Family and Youth Specialist at the University of Kansas Hospital has deepened my understanding of childhood adversity, emotional development, and the lasting impact of trauma.

My approach to therapy

My educational background includes a Doctorate in Forensic Psychology and a Master's degree in Philosophy from Walden University, a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Webster University, and a Bachelor's degree from Pittsburg State University.

I believe therapy should be a place where you feel heard, valued, and never judged. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. Whether you are working through past trauma, navigating present challenges, or seeking personal growth, I am committed to helping you build resilience, develop healthier patterns, and create meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Your past may have shaped your story, but it does not have to define your future. I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward healing, growth, and lasting emotional wellness.
