Great to meet you!

Hi There! I'm Jacqui, a fellow human and a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Registered Art Therapist and just completed certification in Sex Therapy. I have over 15 years of experience in providing a nonjudgemental space to find tools to cope, resources to grow and maybe a few well needed curses to throw at what we can't control. Video counseling gives us the opportunity for me to join you on your couch, which can create more comfort and ease in forming a trusting therapeutic relationship. My focused specialty areas include the LGBTQIA+ community, cancer diagnoses and chronic illness, peri- menopause, menopause and women's sexual health, as well as monogamous and non-monogamous relationships.

My approach to therapy

I have a person-centered approach to therapy, providing empathy, curiosity and a solution focused perspective to the challenges and questions you came to therapy to answer. Mindfulness and stress reduction practices are often tools incorporated in my approach, in addition to inquisitiveness that supports you in finding your own answers as we process your thoughts and feelings.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a combination of questions to get to know you in your journey to this moment as well as exploring the presenting challenges you came to therapy to address. We will begin to discuss what you hope to achieve for yourself while in therapy and how we would recognize you have met the goals we set for you together.
