Great to meet you!

I'm Jackie — LCSW-R, addiction counselor, and 20 years into work I still genuinely love.

I trained at NYU Silver and spent two decades in community mental health, inpatient, and outpatient settings before opening my private practice. I wanted something less clinical and more human.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, people-pleasing, relationship struggles, and the lasting effects of growing up in homes that felt unpredictable or unsafe. If you've always been the "strong one" holding it together for everyone else — this is your space.

My style is warm, direct, and skills-focused. Sessions feel more like a real conversation than a formal appointment. I'll meet you where you are, challenge you when it's useful, and give you tools you can actually use between sessions — not just insight.

Humor shows up too. The hard stuff goes down easier when we can laugh at parts of it.

My approach to therapy

You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. A lot of my clients come in simply needing room to breathe and think out loud — and find so much more once they have it.

I lean conversational and relational. I'll meet you where you are and gently push when it serves your growth, because real change usually means getting a little uncomfortable in a safe space.

I'm skills-focused, drawing from CBT, DBT, and IPT to give you practical tools you can actually use — not just insight, but a real sense of what to do with it.

What I love most is watching clients start to connect the dots — understanding why they feel and react the way they do. That awareness becomes the foundation for real, lasting change.

Asking for help isn't weakness. It's one of the braver things you can do.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an intake — and more than that, it's the beginning of actually being heard. We'll talk about what you've been carrying, what you want to work on, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy.

If you've been in therapy before, I want to know what worked and what didn't. If you're new to it, there's plenty of room to ask questions.

By the end, you'll have a clearer sense of where we're headed — and what it feels like to work with me.
