Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified School Counselor with experience supporting individuals in both clinical and educational settings. I earned my Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Bilingual Education and my Masters of Education in Counseling from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, strengths-based, and goal-oriented. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC), I guide clients to identify unhelpful thought patterns, build practical coping strategies, and focus on meaningful, achievable change. With experience as both a Licensed Professional Counselor and a School Counselor, I provide a supportive, structured space where clients feel empowered to build on their strengths and move forward with confidence.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where they feel heard and respected. We’ll spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brought them to therapy, and identifying their goals and hopes for counseling. I focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship, because feeling safe and understood is essential for meaningful progress. Together, we’ll begin to clarify concerns, explore strengths, and collaborate on initial goals that feel realistic and aligned with the client’s needs. Sessions are paced thoughtfully, and clients are never pressured to share more than they are ready for.
