A bit about my approach to therapy

Empathy and authenticity are the foundation of Dr. J's therapeutic approach; she works diligently to offer her patients a warm and welcoming atmosphere and therapeutic experience. She seeks to help patients identify problematic thoughts (narratives) that have negatively impacted their mental, emotional, and interpersonal wellbeing and works collaboratively with them to modify these narratives in a way that helps them achieve an improved quality of life.

What you can expect from our first session

Dr. J recognizes that every individual is wonderfully unique and therefore integrates multicultural lens on a variety of clinical interventions in her treatment to meet each patient's needs. Additionally, she strongly believes in her patients' inherent strengths, and approaches therapy with the hopes that patients will also see their resources and resiliencies and ultimately reach the goals they have set for themselves.
