Great to meet you!

I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a background in emergency and trauma nursing, where I spent many years caring for individuals across the lifespan in high-acuity settings. That experience shaped my ability to remain calm, thoughtful, and supportive when working with complex or overwhelming situations. In my current practice, I focus on providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing a range of mental health concerns, including mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-related conditions, and life stressors. I value taking the time to truly understand each person’s unique experiences and goals.

My approach is collaborative and nonjudgmental, and I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable, respected, and supported. I believe that meaningful progress comes from working together to develop a plan that feels realistic, individualized, and aligned with each client’s needs.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, patient-centered, and grounded in thoughtful clinical assessment. I believe in taking the time to fully understand each individual’s experiences, symptoms, and goals before developing a treatment plan. I prioritize accurate diagnosis, evidence-based treatment planning, and careful medication management when indicated. I strive to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable sharing openly. When appropriate, I incorporate medication management alongside therapeutic support, always with an emphasis on safety, education, and shared decision-making. My goal is to work together to create a plan that feels both effective and sustainable for each client.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my goal is to create a welcoming and comfortable environment where you feel heard and understood. We will spend time discussing your current concerns, personal history, and what you hope to gain from treatment. I will ask thoughtful questions to develop a comprehensive understanding of your experiences, and together we will begin to identify goals and create an initial plan that may include medication management, therapeutic support, or both. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping you feel safe, respected, and empowered in your care.
