Great to meet you!

I have been working as a social worker since 1984 in both community and medical settings. As a therapist in an outpatient community mental health setting, I worked with clients of all ages using individual, family, and group modalities. As a therapist in hospital and home health settings, I have had extensive experience working with clients around the interplay between mental and physical health. I hold a certificate of Advanced Clinical Practice from NYU and a certificate of Social Work Field Instruction from SCSU. I am currently continuing my training at the Object Relations Institute for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. I am committed to ongoing learning and supervision as a foundation of my work.

My approach to therapy

Our work together will focus on the creation of your self-portrait. All the choices are yours: medium, line, color, texture, dimension. I will inquire about the significance of your choices as you embark upon this self-representation. I will ask for clarification of detail. As the picture clarifies, we will collaboratively attribute meaning to the figure before us. The goal is to deepen your self-understanding and compassion, thereby lighting the path ahead.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will focus on both understanding what brings you in at this time and your history. Subsequent sessions will continue this exploration, simultaneously building the unique relationship between client and therapist.
