Great to meet you!

As a counselor, Jacqueline knows how much people need a safe space to speak their fears, explore their hurts, and be themselves. She is one who empathizes and looks for what each individual needs according to their situation and their personality. She believes a balance of challenge and encouragement can truly help people overcome. Jacqueline loves to see her clients being released from what has kept them bound. It is amazing to see people fully living in joy, in freedom, and having healthy relationships.

Jacqueline is a caring individual whose call to counseling came as a freshman in college. She earned a B.S. in Family Studies from Lamar University and her M.A. in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. She is dually licensed as an LPC in Texas and Colorado and is a certified facilitator of the Prepare Enrich Marriage Program. As a pastor’s wife herself, she is knowledgable and sensitive to those in ministry. She and her husband have been married since 2013 and have the joy of raising their children together.

My approach to therapy

Jacqueline specializes in women’s individual counseling, pre-marital and marriage counseling, persons in ministry, pregnancy and postpartum issues, women experiencing anxiety, grief, depression, low self-esteem, difficulty in stress management, and family relationships. As a Christian, her approach is often faith-based, but much of her experience is counseling those who are agnostic. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is another modality Jacqueline uses, which includes some MBCT and REBT exercises among other things.

What you can expect from me

Prior to your first session, you will complete a free 15-minute consultation call with Jacqueline. This helps determine whether you and the counselor are a good fit and gives you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

When counseling sessions begin, the first couple of sessions will focus on getting to know you as a whole person—your story, experiences, and what matters most to you. This helps create a clear and meaningful direction for the work ahead as you move toward your goals and best self.
