Great to meet you!

You may be looking for a place where you can feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. I believe that healing begins with connection, and my goal is to provide a safe, welcoming space where you can be yourself and explore the challenges you are facing. As an LCSW with seven years of experience, I work with children, adolescents, adults, Veterans and their families who may be experiencing stress, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, grief, anxiety, depression, or adjustment difficulties. I strive to build a genuine therapeutic relationship grounded in compassion, respect, and collaboration. Together, we will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, focusing on your strengths while developing practical tools to help you move toward your goals and create meaningful, lasting change.

My approach to therapy

I believe that our mental health and well-being are shaped by many different parts of our lives, including our relationships, family, work, community, and life experiences. Using an Ecological Systems Theory approach, I take time to understand the whole person and the unique circumstances that have brought them to therapy. My goal is to provide a warm, supportive space where we can explore challenges, build on strengths, and work toward meaningful change. I incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing to help clients develop practical coping skills, increase resilience, strengthen relationships, create meaningful change and move toward a life that feels more balanced, fulfilling, and aligned with their values.

Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), we may explore how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected and identify new ways to respond to life's challenges. With Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), we'll focus on making room for difficult thoughts and feelings while taking steps toward what matters most to you. Through Motivational Interviewing, I'll help you explore any uncertainty around change, strengthen your confidence, and build on your own reasons for moving forward. Chosen therapy methods will remain consistent and stable over time to allow for steady progress and effectiveness in reaching goals.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a therapeutic relationship based on trust, collaboration, and respect. I understand that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable or even intimidating, so I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment where you can move at a pace that feels right for you. During our first session, I will explain the therapy process, discuss confidentiality, and learn about your concerns, strengths, goals, and the experiences that have led you to seek support. We will then develop a treatment plan to include goals you have set and our chosen treatment modality we will use to reach those goals. You are always in control of what and how much you choose to share, and there is no expectation to tell your entire story in one session. My goal is to help ease first-visit nerves by creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where your voice is heard, your experiences are respected, and we can work together to determine the best path forward for your unique needs and goals.
