Great to meet you!
My name is Jacqueline (Jackie) Lovell LCSW, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a master's degree in social work from Adelphi University, earned in 2017. I am currently licensed to practice in the state of New York and Pennsylvania. I bring extensive experience working with children (ages 10+), adolescents, teens, young adults, adults, and older adults. I have a history of working across a wide range of settings, including foster care, residential treatment centers, teen group homes, adoption services, hospitals, jails, and currently work as an outpatient therapist.
I take a trauma-informed, down-to-earth approach to therapy and believe that feeling safe and understood is the foundation for meaningful work. I tailor sessions to each individual and draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based interventions, anger management, and problem-solving therapy. I believe therapy should feel both supportive and practical, offering insight while also helping you develop tools you can use in daily life.
My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgemental space where you can be yourself, explore what is holding you back, and build tools that actually feel useful in your day-to-day life. We'll work at your pace and focus on what matters to you most.
