Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Jackie Kimani, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and adults improve their mental health and overall well-being. I provide compassionate, evidence-based care for conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and other mental health concerns. My approach is collaborative and personalized—I take the time to listen, understand your unique experiences, and develop a treatment plan that aligns with your goals. Whether you're seeking support for the first time or continuing your mental health journey, I strive to create a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you can feel heard and empowered.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, compassionate, and patient-centered. I believe that the best outcomes occur when clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment decisions. I take time to understand each person's unique experiences, strengths, and goals before developing an individualized treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive therapy, lifestyle modifications, and coordination with other healthcare providers when needed.

I specialize in treating ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, trauma-related conditions, and other mood and behavioral health concerns across the lifespan. My practice is grounded in evidence-based care while recognizing that no two individuals are alike. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients can openly discuss their challenges, build resilience, and develop the skills needed to achieve lasting emotional wellness and improved quality of life.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where they can openly share their concerns and goals. We will spend time discussing your symptoms, personal history, current challenges, strengths, and what you hope to achieve through treatment. I will conduct a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to gain a clear understanding of your needs and answer any questions you may have about diagnosis, treatment options, or medications.

By the end of the session, we will work together to develop an initial treatment plan tailored to your goals. You can expect to leave with a better understanding of your mental health concerns, recommended next steps, and a clear path forward. My goal is to ensure you feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout the process.
