Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm Jacqueline, a therapist who believes therapy should be a space where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgement, pressure or having to pretend that everything is okay. I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges and life transitions. I'm warm and compassionate but I'm also honest and direct because I believe growth sometimes require us to look at the patterns, beliefs and experiences that may be keeping us stuck. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, process what you've been through and develop the tools and confidence to move forward.

My approach to therapy

I like to work collaboratively with each person, shaping our approach around what actually fits you and what you need, not a one-size-fits-all method. I draw from a few different tools along the way, including cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. I'm also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which can be especially helpful for working through trauma. We'll figure out together what feels right for you as we go.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is really just a chance for us to get to know each other and start building a space where you feel safe and at ease. We'll gently talk through what brought you in, what you've been experiencing and the different parts of your life that shape how you're doing. Along with what you're hoping this work can bring you. You don't need to have the right words or even know exactly what you're feeling yet. Come as you are and I'll meet you right there. My hope is that you leave that first session feeling a little lighter, genuinely heard and like we've found a good place to begin together.
