Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and a graduate of LSU, where I earned both my undergraduate degree in Psychology and my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I’m also a real person in the therapy room. I’ll laugh with you, be honest with you, and support you as you work through the messy, uncomfortable, and sometimes absurd parts of life. You don’t have to show up with everything figured out—or pretend you’re doing better than you are. We can start exactly where you are.

My approach to therapy

My approach is eclectic, which works with my style: humorous, direct, and empowering. I’m not the kind of therapist who will only nod and ask, “How does that make you feel?” I’ll listen, ask thoughtful questions, help you connect the dots, and challenge you when I notice something that may be getting in your way. We may laugh together, but we’ll also make room for the hard stuff. I won’t tell you how to live your life; I’ll help you understand yourself more clearly, build tools that work for you, and trust your ability to make choices that feel right.

What you can expect from me

The first session is primarily about getting to know you—not expecting you to unpack your entire life story in 50 minutes. I’ll ask what led you to therapy, how things have been affecting you, and what you would like to be different. We’ll talk about what you need from therapy and what helps you feel comfortable with a therapist. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, a little more hopeful, and clear about what working together could look like.
