Great to meet you!

My name is Jacqueline Owens. I have been a nurse for 30 years, and have worked on both the east and west coast. I chose to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner, as I truly enjoy working in mental health, as I feel it has been an under treated population historically. I understand how intimidating it is to look for a new provider. My areas of expertise include and are not limited to anxiety, PTSD, mood, depressive disorders and ADHD.

Currently providing psychotherapy only in conjunction with medication management.

My approach to therapy

I view my patients from a holistic standpoint; moreover, using a shared decision-making model to problem solve with my patients.

What you can expect from me

I provide educational information for patients, in order to facilitate a more positive and healthy decision making skillset. By using the shared decision model, facts, obtainable goals, possible interventions, and consequences of poor choices are presented and analysed with the patient. Efforts are made, in collaboration with the patient, to produce insightful and positive outcomes using best practice
