Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Jacqueline Schaefer and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Being a therapist has guided me to working with many different clients and a vast array of backgrounds. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults helping them find peace and healing. Some practices I utilize are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma focused therapy, DBT skills, interpersonal therapy, and motivational interviewing to help guide clients towards their goals.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Every person and situation is unique so each approach I take may be different. Whether someone needs an attentive ear to listen, someone to give them feedback about a situation they are struggling with, or someone to push them to work towards their goals I will meet the client where they are at.

What you can expect from our first session

Today you have made one of the most courageous decisions someone can make. The decision to say “I don’t want to feel like this anymore”. I can help with that! My goal for my clients is to leave therapy feeling empowered to live more meaningful and fulfilled lives. I'll help you get from where you currently are to where you want to be. I provide a judgement free, safe place to discuss the topics that you feel are the most important to you.
