Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Jackie Tellez, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and create meaningful change. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitative Services from the University of Texas–Pan American and my Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

I strive to provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. I specialize in women's mental health and enjoy helping clients work through anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and relationship challenges. My approach is collaborative and strength-based, focusing on helping you recognize your resilience, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward a more fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered. My approach is warm, collaborative, and strength-based, focusing on helping you recognize and build upon the strengths you already possess. I understand that life can be overwhelming at times, and I strive to help clients develop practical tools to manage challenges while fostering greater self-awareness and self-compassion.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, or challenges related to women's mental health, we'll work together to identify your goals and create meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to help you feel more confident, balanced, and equipped to thrive in your daily life.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, relationships, and goals so I can gain a better understanding of your unique experiences and needs.

This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine whether I am a good fit for your therapeutic journey. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. Together, we'll begin identifying your goals and developing a plan that supports your growth, healing, and overall well-being.
