Great to meet you!

I have been a therapist for about 14 years. I began working as a Substance Abuse Counselor for HIV/AIDS clients and later became a Domestic Violence shelter counselor while attending my Master's program full time and also working collecting forensic evidence for sexual assault victims. I have since worked with children and adults with I/DD, Traumatic brain injuries, and provided in-home services as a counselor. I have worked in mobile crises, community mental health, and now in Private Practice.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to counseling considers mind, body, and spirit as equally important pieces to a healthy life. Balance of these facets is the goal in life. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT and others. I meet clients where they are at not where I want them to be.

Holístico

Este enfoque de consejería considera que la mente, el cuerpo y el espíritu son piezas igualmente importantes para una vida saludable. El equilibrio de estas facetas es el objetivo.

What you can expect from our first session

Feelings of hope and renewal but please understand that therapy is difficult and hurts sometimes. It's not all sunshine and rainbows. It is a process and we work together on it. It is your journey.
