Great to meet you!

Hola / Hi, I’m Jacqueline Vaca. I am a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC), Certified Case Manager (CCM), AND Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS) with a wide range of clinician experience including working with Spanish-speaking adults, children, and adolescents. My expertise includes working with individuals, children, and families struggling with depression, trauma, anxiety, life stress, bipolar disorder, ADHD, behavioral difficulties, PTSD, acculturation difficulties, parenting support, and other personal conflicts. Therapy with me is a safe, supportive space where you can be honest about what you are experiencing without fear of judgment. I believe healing begins when you feel truly heard, but it grows through insight, self-compassion, and practical tools that help you move differently in your daily life. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, build on your strengths, and create a life that feels more grounded, healthy, and aligned with who you are.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, supportive, and client-centered. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a partnership, where your story, culture, values, goals, and pace are respected. In session, we may explore the thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life experiences that shape how you feel, cope, and respond. We may also work on coping skills, emotional regulation, communication, boundaries, self-esteem, stress management, and healthier ways to navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. My style is compassionate and practical, which means I want you to feel understood while also helping you build tools that create meaningful change outside of therapy. I believe you already carry strength within you, and therapy can help you reconnect with it.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my focus is on getting to know you as a whole person, not just the challenges bringing you to therapy. We will talk about what has been feeling difficult, what you have been carrying, your personal history, your relationships, your strengths, and what you hope will feel different moving forward. Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship challenges, self-esteem, emotional overwhelm, or a major life transition, we will begin identifying goals that feel realistic and meaningful. My hope is that you leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and clearer about how therapy can help you move toward healing, confidence, and growth.
