I began my professional life as an actress and gather learning from that career to use therapeutically. I am creative, playful and eclectic in my approach. I graduated Naropa University MA in Transpersonal Counseling with a focus on Art Therapy. Colorado Counseling for addictions training.
My goal is to meet the client where they are at. I try to attune to what the client wants and how I can help facilitate the process of creating a life worth living. I love the way art brings up from the inner consciousness material to work with, though I understand most people stopped art as children. There is therapy in play, also in mindfulness practices which I encourage. I also use parts work and continue studies in Internal Family Systems and somatic techniques.
A first session with me is generally based around the psychosocial interview, reviewing a client's cultural landscape and getting an idea of moments and relationships that shaped who they are now.
