Great to meet you!

Many of the people I work with feel stuck in cycles of worry, self-doubt, or emotional overwhelm. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I specialize in helping adolescents, young adults, and adults who are navigating anxiety, trauma, and high-stress life transitions find a sense of calm, confidence, and self-trust.

In addition to individual therapy, I provide specialized emotional readiness coaching for future missionaries. Preparing for a mission requires more than spiritual preparation—it demands deep emotional resilience. I work with future missionaries to help them understand their stress responses, move past self-doubt, and build practical regulation tools so they can truly thrive emotionally while serving in the field.

My approach to therapy

My clinical approach is integrative, collaborative, and grounded in nervous system psychoeducation. I believe that when you understand how your mind and body respond to stress, real healing and regulation become possible.

To support your unique goals, I combine several evidence-based modalities:

  • Polyvagal Theory & Somatic Approaches: To help you understand your nervous system, track emotional states, and move out of fight, flight, or freeze responses.
  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing): To process past trauma, distressing memories, or deep-seated negative beliefs that keep you feeling stuck.
  • DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy): To build practical, real-world skills in distress tolerance, mindfulness, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy): To identify negative thought patterns, reframe self-doubt, and develop healthy coping mechanisms.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is all about creating a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where you feel genuinely heard. We will go at a pace that feels comfortable for you as we explore what brought you here, your current challenges, and what you hope to achieve—whether that is healing past trauma or proactively preparing for a major life transition like a mission.

You can expect our time together to be grounded and practical. We will begin exploring how your nervous system functions and start identifying concrete, actionable tools you can take with you outside the therapy office. I believe meaningful change happens within safe, supportive relationships, and our first session is the beginning of building that foundation together.
