Great to meet you!

You've made a great first step toward improving your emotional and mental health, and I would be honored to be a part of your journey! For over 20 years I've worked with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges, as well as cultural and identity concerns that add weight to everything else. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for something to shift, I'm here.

My approach to therapy

In our sessions, we'll slow down and look at the thoughts and patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you recognize how your thinking affects your mood and behavior, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) to build awareness of those patterns as they happen. I also use a Strength-Based approach, meaning we build on what is already working in your life, and Problem-Solving Therapy when you need practical tools for a specific challenge. The work is collaborative, at your pace, and grounded in 20 years of helping people find a healthier way forward.

What you can expect from me

You don't have to have it figured out before we meet. I'll ask what brought you here and what you'd like to feel differently about in your day-to-day life. Together we'll identify your goals using motivational interviewing, and I'll get a sense of the approach that fits you best. By the end of that first session, my goal is for you to leave feeling heard, a little lighter, and clear on the direction we're heading together.
