Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Jade (she/her), a therapist who works with people who are BIPOC and/or 2SLGBTQIA+. I come from a proud Afro-Caribbean background, and am privileged to call Jamaica my home. In my free time, I’m a home chef who sometimes knits, camps, plays video games for too long in one sitting, and is deeply fascinated with the science of fermentation. I also have two cats named Charlie and Wilson (yes I like the Gap Band) who like to make appearances on camera.

My approach to therapy

I work with people that systems have treated as “too much,” including immigrants and first-generation Americans, current and former sex workers, survivors of sexual trauma, trafficking, and intimate partner violence, people impacted by incarceration, and people navigating substance use without judgment.

What you can expect from me

Sessions blend ACT, DBT, and solution-focused work with play and art, because adults deserve to play too. That might mean crafting together or a round of Baldur’s Gate 3, Mahjong, or Minecraft. For couples, monogamous and ethically non-monogamous, I center play, earnest conversation, and nonviolent communication.
