Great to meet you!

I am a licensed psychologist who works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, grief, life transitions, and challenges with self-esteem and identity. I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Fordham University and my M.A. from Seoul National University. I completed my clinical psychology internship at Maimonides Medical Center and a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology at Mount Sinai Morningside. I currently practice at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan, where my work includes adult psychotherapy and psychological assessment. I value creating a warm, collaborative space where you can feel understood while developing a deeper understanding of yourself, your relationships, and the patterns that shape your life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is primarily psychodynamic and relational, which means we will explore how your past experiences, relationships, emotions, and patterns may influence the way you experience yourself and others today. I also integrate evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, DBT, and mindfulness when practical strategies may be helpful. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to your needs, helping you develop greater self-understanding while finding meaningful ways to create change in daily life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to begin understanding what brings you to therapy and what you hope might change. I will invite you to share your current concerns, important experiences and relationships, and what has or has not been helpful in the past. You do not need to have everything figured out before we meet. We will work together to identify your goals and begin thinking about an approach to therapy that feels meaningful and useful to you.
