Great to meet you!

Hi! Welcome! My name is Jaha, and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Over the past 10 years, I have gained experience working with clients in settings such as community mental health, education, as well as private practice. I have been successful in supporting clients facing challenges such as, depression, anxiety, stress, life transition, difficulties with work, family conflict, relationship concerns, trauma, loss and grief, creativity, cultural issues, and racial trauma.

My approach to therapy

I meet clients where they are and utilize elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Solution- Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness techniques. I bring authenticity, warmth, curiosity, empathy, positive regard, acceptance, humor, and cultural responsiveness.

What you can expect from me

I hold a safe space for you to feel seen, understood, respected, supported, partnered with, and empowered across the intersections of your identity. I aim to learn and connect with who you are as I work to build a strong therapeutic relationship. I believe the working relationship between the client and therapist plays a significant role in facilitating discovery, self-acceptance, progress, healing, and change.
