Hi, I’m Jailen! I’m a kid therapist! I work with children and teens ages 5 and up with eating disorders, anxiety, identity struggles, and trauma. I have worked with children in a range of settings from pediatric inpatient eating disorder clinic to juvenile detention, and now I am helping provide services in an outpatient setting.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been trained in play interventions, sand play, and art interventions. I practice from a child-centered, developmentally-informed counseling lens. I believe that everyone strives to be their best versions of themselves yet sometimes get lost along the way. My role is to use play, art, and talk to meet clients where they are at, and to gently guide and support them in ways that encourage resilience, bring clarity, and build confidence in themselves.
I am deeply committed to helping people better understand their unique challenges and identify their authentic selves. I believe the best way to do this is through play and art! We are our most genuine selves when we can truly do what we love and have fun!
