Great to meet you!

I received my MSW from Loyola University Chicago in 2005 and have been working with clients ages 12+ ever since. Over the years I have gained significant experience working with individuals who are struggling with life transitions, anxiety, depression, stress management, and substance abuse.

My approach to therapy

I am very laidback and am not the kind of therapist to ask, "And how does that make you feel?" I use real, everyday language along with humor and a focus on identifying solutions to help clients work through their experiences and emotions. I tend to work well with people who think they don't like therapy!

What you can expect from me

I do ask a lot of questions during the first session, but the content of the conversation is guided by the client. I also encourage clients asking questions and creating a dialogue, and I will follow the client's lead when it comes to goal setting. I am also very receptive to feedback and encourage clients to share what they feel is working as well as what they feel isn't working for them in therapy so that I can tailor a positive experience for each individual. I will also review the ins and outs of therapy and informed consent during the first session.
