Hi, I’m Jalia Hurst-Smart, a licensed therapist dedicated to creating a safe and supportive space where you feel heard and valued. I have practiced for nearly 10 years in Florida and specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, 2SLGBTQIA+, and people of color, particularly around issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, identity, and life transitions.
My approach to therapy is both empowering and challenging to build insight, resilience, and meaningful change. My goal is to walk alongside you providing support and tools to help you on your journey.
In our first session, I like to start with an introductory evaluation to learn what brings you to therapy, changes you would like to see in your life, and to share your story. Together, we will take time to explore your goals, priorities, and begin shaping a plan that fits your needs. My aim is to create a safe, supportive, and affirming space where you can feel grounded. In future sessions, we will work together to help you moved towards the growth and healing you are seeking.
