Jamie El Jilali is a national certified counselor. He obtained his Master’s degree in Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in 2023 and his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida International University in 2020. Jamie approaches counseling and psychotherapy from an individualized yet relational-cultural approach. He is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and uses expressive arts and play therapy techniques in his practice.

My approach to therapy

As a lifelong learner, Jamie has presented at conferences of the Florida Counseling Association, International Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, and Chi Sigma Iota. He works predominantly with neurodivergent clients, and the commonly co-occurring challenges in the form of depression, anxiety, and trauma. Jamie is trained in EMDR and Play Therapy. Jamie works with kids, teens, and young adults, starting at the age of 6+ years old. Born and raised in the Netherlands, Jamie is available for sessions in both English and Dutch.
