Great to meet you!

I completed my Masters in Counseling at the University of Northern Iowa, my Masters in Social Work at the University of Iowa, and I received my PhD from The Ohio State University. I have a passion for people. I create an environment of comfort where my clients know they will not be judged. I'm a good listener, and care about the goal my clients want to achieve. I want them to feel good about themselves.

My approach to therapy

I want my clients to feel relaxed. I want to help them identify unhelpful thought patterns and align their actions with their personal values. I want my client to feel safe exploring past experiences and current challenges. I have tools to help with anxiety, low self-esteem, anger issues, and clients who just want to better themselves mentally. I will work with my clients to set clear, manageable goals.

What you can expect from me

My first session is going to be getting to know you. Also, you will get to know me. I have a laid-back approach where you will not be judged. Mental health is just as important and physical health. I will ask questions like what brought you to seek therapy, ask about your goals, and get a feel for how our therapy sessions will go.
