Great to meet you!

Welcome, welcome, welcome! Thank you for stopping by! My name is James Beaumont, and I am a clinical psychologist with nearly 30 years of professional experience. I am a very energetic, open-minded, and dynamic provider who enjoys working with a broad range of concerns and in a way that is comfortable for the client. I consider myself a generalist and have done a lot of work with clients ranging from adolescents to the elderly.

My approach to therapy

When it comes to psychotherapy, there is no such thing as “one-size-fits-all.” Given that, I have a very individualized approach to working with clients. To be able to meet people where they are and work in a way that works for the individual client, I work with and eclectic approach, pulling from multiple evidence-based therapeutic models which makes sense to explain the clients concerns and a weight in which he client can clearly understand and apply to their situation. I have a humanistic foundation and process through cognitive-behavioral perspectives. I then draw from various therapy models to address identified concerns.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, expect to be met with a warm, nonjudgmental, open-minded listener to learn about you and the concerns that you have. Once I clarify your concerns, we will work together to determine what treatment goals to focus on and determine what issues you prefer to work on first and/or what are most pertinent to address first.
