Great to meet you!

Hi, I am James, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Dallas with a master’s in Counseling Psychology and 10 years of experience supporting clients from adolescence through older adulthood. I help people navigate depression, anxiety, major life transitions, crisis situations, and other challenges that can leave you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of your next step. Together, we will work toward relief, clarity, and steadier ground.

My approach to therapy

My approach is person centered, which means I believe you know yourself better than anyone else and I want to honor that wisdom. My role is to help you build on your own insight while offering practical tools you can use between sessions. My style is conversational and laid back, and I often bring in humor when it feels right so therapy feels a little lighter, more human, and easier to show up for.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my goal is to get to know you as a whole person, understand what you would like to work on, and start building a plan together that feels realistic and manageable. I may ask a lot of questions so I can see the full picture, but I do my best to keep things relaxed and grounded. I want the process to feel supportive and collaborative, not overwhelming, so you can leave feeling heard and more hopeful.
