James Carr

I am a Graduate of Brandman, now UMass Global, and have been full time Private practice since 2020, but licensed since 2018. I spent 25 years as a Sheriff's Deputy and Police, retiring as a Sergeant in 2016. I initially worked at Children's services for 4 years, then Kings County Jail as a Therapist. I left that position going to Naval Air station Lemoore working in Fleet and Family Services as a therapist. I was in that position for almost a year but wanted to have a private practice, which I opened in 2020,

I have an eclectic approach to therapy. I do prefer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but will use whatever might work with each individual.

I want clients to feel they are accepted and respected as well as taking back the power they may have lost along the way.
