Great to meet you!

I am a graduate of Columbia University. During my studies I learned how best to support clients through empowerment. Clients begin to better recognize barriers to progress and patterns that can hinder or help develop a sense of wellness. Together, we will formulate goals that are realistic and foster change.

My approach to therapy

Over the past 27 years of practice I have always been an eclectic therapist who utilizes CBT, DBT as well as a strengths perspective to support clients. Psychodynamics plays a role in better understanding drives and motives as we work together to create adaptive behavioral patterns and coping strategies.

What you can expect from me

Each session I prompt my clients to utilize strategies when out of the office. This type of homework helps to create a sense of progress for my clients. Each session I encourage clients to practice mindfulness and build self-awareness. I prompt clients to journal and reflect on the positive events in their lives and to become solution focused during challenging times.
