James Gibson III is an LCSW with over thirty years of experience as a clinical therapist primarily working with children, adolescents, and families. James incorporates an eclectic approach specializing and utilizing highly effective therapy techniques. James maintains respect for each client; incorporates high standards and ethics of practice, and the most effective treatment methods to help individuals and their families survive, recover, and deepen personal awareness of life’s challenges.

A bit about my approach to therapy

James works with many diverse and ethnic populations in both the private and public sectors. He has extensive experience working in residential and mental health settings providing T.I.C. with a culturally sensitive lens framework. He’s a certified trainer for the Parent Project, TF-CBT, and Divorce Mediation, which are all national training curricula. He assists each family member in identifying his/her role in the family system and holding individuals accountable for their behavior(s).

To meet where the client is coming into therapy, to define mutually agreed upon goals, and reach full maximum benefit(s) from the therapeutic process. To seek the client to return to a previous state of emotional and mental well-being with improved coping skills and tools to succeed past the therapeutic relationship.
