Great to meet you!

I have been a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with comprehensive training and experience in clinical neuropsychology, psychological evaluation and psychotherapy/counseling for many years. I have had the additional benefit of training and clinical experience with all age groups and all categories of mental disorder. Much of my clinical practice has been focused on providing services to children, adolescents and families, with particular focus on school adjustment and ADHD diagnosis and family-focused treatment. My work history includes many years of professional service with the Departments of Pediatrics and Psychiatry, and serving as a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client-centered and problem-focused. I use an integrated combination of treatment methods, aimed at assisting my patients (and their loved ones) with overcoming obstacles to a healthy life, and with attaining optimal success with their life goals.

What you can expect from me

During our first meeting, it will be my primary goal to listen carefully to your concerns and to gain a complete understanding of all the factors involved in your reaching out for support.
