Great to meet you!
I’m James Neeck, and I bring more than 25 years of experience supporting people through trauma, anxiety, depression, family issues, grief, PTSD, and major life challenges. I also support adolescents and young adults facing ADHD, anxiety, depression, poor self-concept, low school motivation, social-emotional challenges, and family issues. I have also worked with juvenile offenders, military members, veterans, military families, first responders, and people coping with illness, disability, grief, and post-suicide loss.
My professional path has given me the opportunity to serve people in some of the most difficult moments of their lives. I served as a Social Worker in the Army, where I worked with combat stress, PTSD, and the unique needs of military members and their families. As a retired police officer and detective, I also provided counseling and support to first responders, their families, and the community in the aftermath of 9/11 in New York. In 2018 and 2019, I provided counseling and crisis support to students, families, and the Parkland community after the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. These experiences have shaped the way I show up in therapy: with empathy, steadiness, responsiveness, and deep respect for what people have survived.
