Great to meet you!

I've enjoyed working as a Mental Health Counselor for over 30 years, allowing me time to develop and hone my skills. In addition to working individually with clients I've spent most of that time at intensive treatment programs working with people experiencing severe mental health symptoms of all types.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I often begin therapy by teaching skills that can improve resilience to stress and quickly bring relief. Then we become curious about the parts of us that are struggling so that we can understand what they need from us in order to better take care of them. Mindful curiosity leads to understanding, understanding leads to compassion, and compassion heals.

What you can expect from our first session

I can offer you compassion and the informed curiosity that are essential for successful treatment; and can help you find them both within yourself. This mindful approach to therapy can facilitate experiences that amplify self acceptance and self appreciation. It can also resolve long held disruptive habits and inhibiting behaviors in need of healing.
