Great to meet you!

I was born and raised in East Texas and have lived in Austin, TX and Savannah, GA. I now live in Tyler with my wife of almost 10 years and our two children. I received my bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and my master's in counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. I have been practicing for over four years and am constantly learning and growing in an effort to provide the best care possible for my clients. My primary focus with individuals is healing from trauma and insecure attachment styles. I primarily use Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy. With couples, I use Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy to help repair the bond between partners and restore the ability to communicate and receive needs for care and connection.

My approach to therapy

I work to become familiar with the world of my client. I want to know how they move through the world in relation to other people and their own emotions. We will work together to identify where they are stuck or how things are not working for them and from there we will try to reach new ways of interacting with self, other and emotion.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect an experience of feeling seen and understood, gaining insight about their issue and how it makes sense in the context of their life, deep emotional experiences with self and imagined others, new ways of interacting with their emotion, and self-compassion.
