Great to meet you!

Starting therapy can feel uncomfortable, but you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, substance use concerns, and life transitions.

As a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), I combine clinical expertise, lived experience, and genuine compassion to create a welcoming, judgment-free space. I believe healing isn't linear, growth often requires becoming comfortable with the uncomfortable, and your past doesn't have to define your future.

My goal is to help you recognize your strengths, embrace who you are, and confidently pursue who you aspire to become.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and solution-focused. With over a decade of experience in behavioral health, I recognize that no two individuals experience life's challenges the same way. I believe therapy should be tailored to your unique experiences, strengths, and goals, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and strengths-based interventions, while incorporating trauma-informed principles throughout our work.

My strengths-based approach emphasizes your existing abilities, resilience, and personal resources. Rather than focusing solely on challenges or diagnoses, we'll explore what makes you uniquely capable of overcoming obstacles and creating the life you envision.

During sessions, you can expect a balance of open conversation, thoughtful reflection, practical exercises, and gentle accountability. Depending on your needs, we may work on reframing negative thoughts, establishing healthy boundaries, improving emotional regulation, strengthening relationships, or processing difficult life experiences.

Ultimately, therapy with me is about more than managing symptoms. It's about developing insight, building lasting skills, recognizing your potential, and embracing your pursuit of becoming.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a foundation of trust. We'll complete a standard initial diagnostic assessment to better understand your mental health history, current concerns, strengths, and areas of need. This process helps establish a clear understanding of your experiences and guides the development of an individualized treatment plan.

My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. We'll also discuss confidentiality, expectations, and what you hope to accomplish through therapy.

You don't need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to begin. All I ask is that you show up with a willingness to explore the possibilities of growth and change. Your first session is the beginning of your pursuit of becoming.
