Great to meet you!

I’m Jim Rowell (he/him/his). I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I’m also a loving father, spouse, and sibling. I received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Oberlin College and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin.

My approach to therapy

My approach to counseling is person-centered, authentic, and affirming. I work from a relational-cultural perspective. I prioritize developing an authentic relationship with clients where they can feel heard and are safe to express their true selves. I draw inspiration from nature and root my work in an understanding of neurobiology. I also draw from a more solution-focused model, developing tools to help with current challenges and collaborating on goals and specific steps towards change.

What you can expect from me

I aspire for this to be a beneficial experience for my clients, and strive to make frequent opportunities to check-in on our progress and receive feedback.
