Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m James, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I work with adolescents, adults, and families who may be experiencing anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, self-doubt, or major life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth, and I believe therapy should be a space where you feel comfortable being honest and understood without judgment. I strive to meet each person where they are and work together to better understand what’s going on and identify meaningful steps toward positive change.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when it is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your individual experiences and goals. My approach is warm, practical, and nonjudgmental, with an emphasis on understanding the patterns, experiences, and relationships that may be contributing to what you’re going through. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, stress, self-doubt, relationship challenges, and major life transitions, including those who may feel stuck or unsure about what comes next. Together, we can create a space to better understand yourself, develop practical coping skills, build confidence, and work toward meaningful and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

In our first few sessions, my goal is for you to feel comfortable, heard, and understood. We’ll spend time getting to know you, talking about what brought you to therapy, and exploring what you’d like to be different in your life. We’ll also begin identifying patterns, strengths, and areas that may be getting in the way of the changes you want to make. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We’ll work together at a pace that feels comfortable and develop practical steps that can help you move forward.
